Lou's Vision

A Safer, Stronger Kane County – For Everyone

Restoring Trust in Law Enforcement

Lou will lead with transparency and integrity—building community trust by ensuring deputies are held to the highest standards and that every resident feels seen, heard, and respected.

Community Policing That Works

He believes policing should be rooted in relationships. Lou will implement proactive, community-based patrols to prevent crime, not just respond to it—creating safer neighborhoods through trust and engagement.

Supporting Mental Health

Lou understands the mental toll of police work and the impact of untreated mental illness in our communities. He’ll prioritize officer wellness programs and increase partnerships with mental health professionals to support those in crisis.

Fighting Crime with Modern Strategies

With a proven record of investigating serious crimes, Lou will bring modern tools, intelligence-sharing, and inter-agency collaboration to the forefront of Kane County’s crime-fighting efforts—especially against gangs, human trafficking, and drug networks.

Building Bridges, Not Turf Wars

As Sheriff, Lou will respect and support local police departments across Kane County. He’ll ensure the Sheriff’s Office is a collaborative partner—not a competitor—so that resources and information flow freely between agencies.

Fiscal Responsibility & Accountability

As a Village Trustee, Lou has a record of responsible budgeting. As Sheriff, he’ll ensure taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently—with full transparency—so resources go where they’re needed most.
